Maybe you watched television or a movie showing scuba divers or one of your friends just returned from a dive dive trip. MAYBE ITS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST? Or maybe it’s something you always wanted to try, but just not sure. Well we have a program to get you in the water and only take about an hour (or two if we can’t get you out of the water)!  If you love it then we can get you ready to sign up for our next class.  The fee for Discover Scuba will be applied to your course fee.

 Please Bring Towel, Swim Suit and Rash Guard. We have all the gear for you.

Open Water Certification

Open Water Certification is available to ages 12-14 for Junior Diver and 15 and up for Open Water Diver. When taking our Open Water class we have everything you need to become certified.  We have a three-step method.  The first step is E-Learning Home study, once you have completed the on-line class your are on your way. Step two is your Confined Water class. This consists of Swimming, Snorkeling and Diving Skills. We provide BCD, Tanks, Regulators and weights.  The Third step is your Open-Water training which will include 4 dives at the Homestead Crater in Utah for your final Dive certification card. You will need your own mask, snorkel and fins for this course. These items can be purchased in our Scuba Shop.

Our Advanced Open Water class is a fun class that includes going on a dive trip and learning advance skills Such as Deep Diver, Navigation Diver, and three more Specialties that you can pick out such as Fish ID , Boat Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, Drift Diver, Night diver, Wreck Diver, Computer Multi level Diver, Altitude Diver and more.

The Enriched Air Diver Nitrox course is one of our most popular specialty courses and it’s easy. Scuba diving with Enriched air increases your bottom time, reduces the amount of nitrogen in your system, and provides added safety measures. Everyone wants more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. This is a 2-step Class which includes E-learning and completion of a hands-on class.

Buoyancy Specialty

This is a class where you basically get a one-on-one with our Instructor and/or Divemaster to help you master your buoyancy underwater which helps you conserve your bottom time. This class is usually about an hour long but sometimes you may need extra time and we are here to help if it takes a little longer.

Rescue Diver

This class teaches the diver how to recognize diving-related injuries/symptoms and proper care for diving-related injuries.  The diver becomes well versed in diving accident rescue and management.  This course requires the diver to be EFR Certified (which can be taken along with the course) or have had a CPR & First Aid course within the past year to meet the requirements of this certification.  The course includes a few hours of classroom study, four pool sessions and two open-water dives.

Master Diver

The Master Scuba Diver rating is the highest recreational diver rating in the PADI system, and denotes a diver with superior experience and achievement.  Certification requirements include Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, EFR, Certification in five PADI Specialty courses and 50 logged dives.

Divemaster

Do you have a passion for diving? Or, do you merely love it with all of your heart? If so, you should consider doing what you love for a living: become a Divemaster. Working closely with an Instructor, this program will expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills and confidence to the professional level. Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. Divemaster is the prerequisite certification for both the Assistant Instructor and  Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications.

During the Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others improve their scuba. You put this knowledge into action through a structured internship or series of practical training exercises.

Then, as a Divemaster, you’ll use these attributes to lead, mentor other divers and experience the joy of seeing them transformed by the majesty of the aquatic realm.
